I have to say that using bleach to remove Arctic Fox is not always the best option… but it works for me.
Yeah, I’m not proud of this, but bleach always works for me to remove any kind, product and type of hair dye from my head. Nonetheless, Arctic Fox says that you should not use bleachers to remove their hair color from your head.
According to the brand, bleacher doesn’t always work as well with synthetic pigment from a dye, which might result in a disaster.
I have experimented a lot with bleachers in the past, and I’m confident in what I do, but if you are a newbie or if you don’t know what you are doing, your best bet would be to stay away from bleachers.
3 Tips for Safely Removing Arctic Fox Hair Dye
Before we get to the whole process, it is worth checking a few tips about how to remove Arctic Fox hair dye safely.
Safety is the keyword here – I have seen some of my friends trying to rush out to remove their hair dye color, and the results were a disaster, so if you don’t want this happening to you, then check out these tips.
1. Have Some Patience
Arctic Fox will go away by itself. Space Cowgirl, a reactive UV hair color by Arctic Fox, faded away in just 5 weeks for me.
But I understand that other Arctic Fox Colors might take more time than 5 weeks. It also depends on how often you dye your hair, but overall, Arctic Fox is never permanent.
2. Don’t Use Harsh Chemicals
Only use chemicals as a last resort option for removing hair dye colors. If you are not an expert, you might end up having to treat hair dye burns.
Either way, there’s no need to push your hair or scalp to the limit just to remove a color that should go away by itself.
3. Keep Your Hair Conditioned and Hydrated After Removing
Keeping your hair hydrated and conditioned is always the way to go. Damaged hair will suffer more when you try to get Arctic Fox out of it.
Luckily, Arctic Fox hair dyes are ammonia free, so they are not bad for your hair at all; in fact, I’d say that they are pretty good for your hair! Arctic Fox Space Cowgirl felt like a blessing for my hair.
How to Get Arctic Fox Out of Hair: 5 Methods
I, Andrea Miranda, have tried 5 different methods to get Arctic Fox out of my hair. You might find other methods online, that might or might not work.
The truth is that I only talk about the experience I’ve had over the past ten years. So, these are the absolute best ways to get Arctic Fox out of hair.
1. Wash Your Hair Often
Washing your hair with shampoo is the best way to fade out Arctic Fox. It might not be extremely fast, but it works!
I washed my hair 5 times over 5 weeks, and Arctic Fox came out easily. By following this logic, if you wash your hair 10 times, then Arctic Fox will fade out in just 2 and a half weeks! That’s nothing.
Washing your hair thoroughly is also recommended to completely get rid of the color.
2. Leave It Fade Out
Slow ride, take it easy. Unless you are desperate to try a different color, just sit tight and let Arctic Fox go away. At first, I was really happy with these green things in my hair!
After week 4, I was bored, and I just had to let it fade out for one more week to change my style. I didn’t even have to think about it! It was so quick that I was impressed because it was exactly what I was expecting.
3. Use Bleacher or Color Remover (Not Advisable, But it Works)
While bleach is a powerful tool for lightening hair and removing color, it can also be extremely damaging to your hair if not used correctly. Bleach can strip your hair of its natural oils and proteins, leaving it dry, brittle, and prone to breakage.
Furthermore, using bleach to remove Arctic Fox can be unpredictable, as the bleach may interact with the remaining pigments in the hair and create unwanted tones or shades.
The same goes for color removers. I’m always as honest as possible while writing these guides, and I must say that both color removal and bleacher work for me.
But this will not always be like this. Use bleacher or color remover only if you are in a hurry, and you want to get rid of Arctic Fox hair color quickly. The bleacher I use is Wella Color Charm.
4. Try Vitamin C
One technique that I’ve found to be particularly effective for fading Arctic Fox gradually is using vitamin C.
To use this method, I simply crushed up a few vitamin C tablets and mixed them with a small amount of shampoo to create a paste. I then applied the paste to my hair and let it sit for about an hour before rinsing it out thoroughly.
I repeated this process a few times over the course of a week, and I was amazed at how much the color had faded out without any harsh lines or patchiness. Plus, since I was using vitamin C, I knew that I wasn’t damaging my hair or scalp in the process.
Of course, everyone’s hair is different, so results may vary. I’d say that by using the vitamin C method, you can remove Arctic Fox in 1 to 2 weeks tops.
5. Use Anti-dandruff or a Clarifying Shampoo
Clarifying shampoos are great for removing semi-permanent hair dyes, such as Arctic Fox. They are good for your hair and work like magic.
If you want the best balance between fast results and safe methods, then use anti-dandruff or clarifying shampoo.

What Is the Fastest Way to Remove Arctic Fox?
Before looking for the fastest way to remove Arctic Fox, let me tell you one truth that you might not like to read, but you need to do it: the fastest option is not the safest.
That being said, I would never promote products that damage you or your hair. So, my top three fastest methods to remove Arctic Fox from hair are the following:
- Use clarifying shampoo: it takes just one week and a couple of regular washes to completely remove Arctic Fox with clarifying shampoo, and it doesn’t damage your hair whatsoever.
- Wash your hair often: a classic salt-free shampoo and a few hair washes over the course of 3 or 4 weeks will do the trick if you have some patience.
- Use color remover or bleacher: if you want to get Arctic Fox out of your hair NOW, then using these products is the way to go, but only if you know what you are doing.
